Window to life
Border Ranges, NSW
The Border Ranges National Park on the Queensland and New South Wales border is a hotspot for biodiversity. Only after a few hours in the forest a Lyrebird was spotted amongst many other bird species.
It is near here that I did my first through walking bushwalk when I was about 21. This is when you carry everything on your back, food, tent, sleeping bag, cooker etc. I had a little point and shoot camera then and found the camera so limiting in what it could do. Shortly after this walk I purchased a SLR camera and have never looked back. I have stuck with through walk bushwalking ever since and find it is the best way to slow down and fall in tune with nature and her seasons, and it is then that I can manage to try to capture her beauty.
