Hinchinbrook Island, Queensland
Zoe Falls is a welcome relief to bushwalkers who have usually walked two to three days to reach this spot. The Falls are spectacular and purely a delight after a heavy days walking. The falls are home to Jungle Perch fish and Saw-shelled Tortoises. On one occasion I recall sitting on a rock near the Falls, when I heard a sudden splash. I looked to see a White Lipped Tree Frog (fallen from a tree) literally hopping across the surface of the water, so fast as to escape the hungry jaws of the Jungle Perch. I had never before seen a frog move so fast across water!
